      Diary: 

      So to explain what has been happening to me since the beginning of july (tmi warning): 

      Spoiler 
      Basically I’ve been having very severe diarrhea to the point that even drinking water causes it. Everything and anything I eat is not being absorbed and comes out within 5-10 minutes of consuming. As a result, I’m also suffering with extreme weakness and my body is not able to regulate my temperature properly. My dad thinks it might be covid, as I’m experiencing the lesser known symptoms, but idk. Tbh I’m kind of hoping I lose a lot of weight from this lol. 

       

      Also, in terms of wedding plans, we’ve got the nikkah date set! I’ve mentioned this before, but in our culture + religion, our weddings are a lot different than western ones. Some terms:

      -Nikkah: the paper signing. Once the papers are signed, we’re officially married islamically + legally. This is an islamic practice. My nikkah will take place on November 4, 2022. 

      -Barat: the actual wedding ceremony. This is a cultural practice. Date not known yet.

      -Walima: this is an event in which the groom’s family throws to celebrate the marriage. This is an islamic practice. Date not known yet.

       

      For the nikkah, the plan is that the men will do the paper signings at the mosque/masjid. Someone (my dad or my uncle) will sign the papers on my behalf. After that, we’re going to have a party at my relatives’ place. It’s going to be ‘high tea’ themed. There’s going to be haleem, samosas, jalebi (yum), etc. My uncles are going to look at banquet halls tomorrow for the barat. We’re hoping that all the events happen one after the other (ie: nikkah on nov 4, barat on nov 5, walima on nov 6) so we can over the major events before moving on to minor ones. On top of all of this, my b-day is on nov 17. 

       

      Tmrw we have some family friends coming over and my mom is getting afghani food… I hope my stomach does ok bc I really like afghani food.

      Diary: 

      Today we had guests over. (the family friends I mentioned before). One of them came from very far away, so we ordered afghani food, which was really good btw. I was supposed to make the dessert for today, but as you all know I was sick for the past few days (still sick a bit, but a lot better than before!), so my mom got tuxedo cake from the grocery store. Coincidentally, another auntie also brought a cake too, it was an oreo one. Both were really good! 

       

      Luckily, my stomach didn’t act up throughout the party, so in my mind, I was so ready to go back to restrict tomorrow… until it came back at night ): Again I’m not going to calculate my intake for tomorrow. I will start until this issue fully goes away. I want to lose so badly, but I can’t let myself suffer from the pain I got from weakness ):

      Nothing much happened today. I got new glasses tho! They’re bigger than my previous ones and are in a style that I don’t usually get. I spent most of my day sleeping or playing bandori. Tomorrow I’ll go back to my restriction routine. Eid is on saturday, so lots of prep is happening these days (: 

       

      My mom also showed me fiance’s fit for our wedding. It looked pretty good and I’m glad he didn’t get something that looks flamboyant lol.

      Diary: 

      Today a lot happened compared to yesterday. In order of events:

       

      1. I woke up late today and found out a family friend came by to give me a gift. I was sleeping, so I couldn’t be there personally to receive it. There were three things: a box full of chocolate covered strawberries, a bouquet consisting of real yellow roses, ferrero rocher, chocolate strawberries. The last thing was a necklace which said ‘gratefulness’, ‘patience’ and ‘trust’ in arabic 

      2. The date for barat (wedding ceremony) has been confirmed! It’s on Nov 5, a day after the nikkah. I saw pictures + videos of the banquet hall that was booked and it was so pretty on its own. It exceeded my expectations.

      3. We went to the mall and my sister got her first skateboard! She’s been interested for a while, so she was really happy to get one finally. We went to the lindt shop and got some lindor truffles. I looked around and there’s a lot of great gifts. I’m planning on buying a gift box for my fiance as he really likes chocolates. The chocolates in his country aren’t of the best quality and are super expensive. I also plan on going back to the same mall to buy him perfume as a part of his gift too.

       

      Anyways, I'm happy to be back on my restriction game!

      We had an unexpected guest come over today. It ruined my plans… Then we went to get food from outside. Before leaving to pick up the food, I got into an argument with my sister. Yea, today wasn’t the best of days. On top of all this, both of my uncles are sick, meaning that they aren’t coming for eid. We’re going to have to come up with different plans for eid this year…

       

      I’m going to stay up, have suhoor to fast (religious reasons) for july 8 and then go to sleep.

        still hanging around the 147 mark and it's BUMMING ME OUT. i know i'll start losing again eventually but that's been three weeks now hovering around the same weight.

        i hope i see 146 this week just so i feel assured that i've not been vastly undercounting cals

        today i'll eat a little lighter and stay hydrated


        update: locked out of my house with just a bottle of water, phone and my wallet. it's free restriction. full story in the spoiler

        ended up out there for... a couple of hours. i was fairly sure the keys were in the taxi i took this morning so i called them and waited for them to get in touch. after about an hour, my pal, who lives up the road, passed by looking for her dog, who'd escaped. this dog has done a runner before and turned up at my house, so we went to my back garden... and there she was! caught her, and then went back to the front to wait for the call. said bye to my pal (who was going to meet up with our other friend on the other side of the city) and went back to waiting.

         

        i took out the recycling and tidied outside the front of my door, and called the taxi again to no response. then my (very lovely) neighbour came home and started putting the bins at the curb. i gave him a hand with that and he asked me what i was doing outside. told him the whole story and he offered me a lift to earthgirl's work on his way to work. such a sweetheart! i broke a nail opening his car door. d'oh! we had a fun ride around in the car, he told me about his boxing career (v cool), and i got to earthgirl's just in time to get a call from the taxi driver, who had decided to drop by my flat. dang. i asked him to leave my keys outside the door, and i picked up earthgirl's keys just in case. also got a slice of vegan banana cake and a gift for my neighbour, then came home in (yet another) taxi.

         

        the taxi driver had put my keys through my letterbox, so it was VERY fortunate that i'd gotten earthgirl's set. let myself in, fed the cat, wrote my neighbour a card and put his gift (a pretty flowery plant for his garden, since he takes such good care of it) outside his front door and re-did my broken nail (thankfully the gel i put on yesterday had protected the natural nail). then i got the call from the vet that my kitten's ready for pickup. what a fucking morning! earthgirl's gonna pick kitten up since i've been outside for hours.

          i don't know how i missed this!! thank youuu!! <3 i think it is long covid tbh, earthgirl's absolutely suffering with it. really hopeful that we'll both be properly on the mend soon. protein is magic!!! i'm gonna try to get more in future without becoming obsessed with macros.....

            morning all! i'm exhauuuusted, have a runny nose and my head is killing me. probably gonna have to skip workout today... really was hoping to get a resistance workout in today or some hiit

             

            on the plus side, i'm FINALLY under 147. i was seriously considering increasing my intake so i could work out more, and that's still a good idea but it makes me intensely nervous so i'm not sure how i'll do it. i want to eat slightly more today though, so i'm going to make banana pancakes (half with honey and half with erythritol to test it out) and have a slightly larger bfast. i'm gonna freeze the rest of them so i can have more in the future but not feel pressured to eat them all just now ⭐

             

            got the new bike pedals in the post today, so just waiting on the shoes to go with them. i'm so excited! my neighbour said to me yesterday that he always sees me cycling, that i cycle "all the time" and i'm "the fittest person in our block of flats" which was all EXTREMELY VALIDATING. he works out a lot so it is actually he that taketh the fittest person crown but game recognise game for sure. i didn't realise that anybody could tell how much i'm on my bike - motivation to keep pushing!

              morning angels! i'm up early today and feeling less ill so i'm gonna grab a coffee and go do some hiit

               

              it looks gorgeous outside today so i'm also tempted to cycle but let's see how it goes. it's earthgirl's birthday this weekend so i'm going to be focused on that for a few days... i'm keen to do whatever i can before then

               

              yesterday i spent a lot of time doing diy that's seriously improved our kitchen; i'm proud of myself and also feel a lot better about it OCD-wise. still so much to improve in the flat but i'm getting there

                a little update

                 

                my new cycle shoes came and they'd sent me the men's version of the shoes. so annoying!! the whole industry is built for men and it means you have to deal with this shit. i decided to make the most of the sunshine, take them back today and get a bike ride while i was at it. ended up going for a little wander and then getting some veggies. felt the strain in my thighs again - second time this week - not sure if it's because of working out this morning or because of eating under tdee for a while, but i'm going to try to be more mindful of my protein and hope that helps my muscles out a smidge

                 

                feeling vv obsessive ed-wise at the moment, feeling worried about the weight loss stalling. i know, logically, i must be losing weight on my current intake but that 3 week plateau put the fear in me. i know i just need to trust the process
