i got to my lowest weight at 5'7" from 60 kg to 48 kg by waterfasting in less than a month. Also got thigh gaps but wrecked my metabolism.

Thank you for this.
Fasting is pretty much how I developed AN b/p / bulimia. I didn't got for as long as you did but I did consistent 3, 5 and 7 day fasts broken with binges for years. I totally wrecked my metabolism with it too, and yet I still come back to it for the confidence aspect.

Not at all! I am certain a lot of people have ended up in the same situation, but it's not something that's talked about very often. Even in the media people focus on weight loss stories and totally ignore the statistics of people who return to the same or higher weight in the long term. I hope this will make people realise it's a short term solution but if they can avoid it in the first place they can also avoid a whole lot of long term problems. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself that!

Heh, well I'm fasting again. Which is funny because I know it doesn't work in the long term and it will lead to binges but it's become so addictive, and especially when I'm under any kind of life stress like college assessments this week etc. it's like I need it as a coping mechanism. But other than totally playing into the ED mindset I'm doing ok haha. How about you?

Sorry it hasn't worked for you, curious as to why you think it wrecked your metabolism though... everything I've read about fasting says that it has far less of an impact on metabolism than restricting.

I've found that it is important to keep in mind that just because someone else has suffered more than you doesn't negate the validity of your suffering.

My mom isn’t pleased, but I’m too out of control with food
It really hurts me to upset her
Nonetheless, I’d feel worse if I b/ped

I have been playing video games
so that I can keep myself distracted.
Week 1 was somewhat easy this time around.
I was not that down and out of my mind.
The cravings were strangely not there.
Hunger vanished on day 3 for me.
I however am just missing my sodas.
I wonder if it is stupid to fast or rather if
it is the best time to do so due to coronavirus?

Having quite some aches down in my lower back and hip regions.
I think it is because I have been laying around in bed all day.
Which is honestly nothing new about that but things has changed.
Guess that means that there is not much meat left on my bones.
No matter what my mind might say, the body will always speak louder.
Pain, sickness, and weakness has been long hateful companions.
It is a good thing I am almost done with this accursed fast.
Midnight of July 19th has been a long time coming.
At last, it is finally right around the corner from here.
Tomorrow will be the next and last checkpoint.
Which means tomorrow will be the next and last picture day.

Take a bit of salt with your water
Rest as much as you possibly can

I am sorry if the pictures are a bit blurry.
I was a bit wobbly in the bathroom and could not be still.
It was getting harder and harder to just stand there.
This fast has truly took a enormous toll on me.
I am happy that this is the final day of this journey.
It has been a long road to walk on, but it is coming to an end.
I would give myself a huge round of applause, alas,
I realized the hardest part has yet to come into bloom.
I need to end my fast properly or possible face death.
I have a long history of failing when it comes to my destination.

I am a little hard-headed with my body.
Throughout the fast and now after, to be honest.
I think my body has been and continues to be quite resilient though.
I had some white grapes because I was craving them.
I think it might have been a bit too soon for fruits on my part.
I feel fine though. No harmful side effects from the grapes.
I will be sticking with my white grapes for a little while longer.
Hopefully I can keep it up for about 2 or 3 weeks.
Sounds a little boring, but I can do it if I want to.
