i overtrained - my thighs hurt and i'm tired! it's fine though, i have minimal outside things to do today.
intake
bfast: apple, soya yoghurt, and cereal (265)
lunch: tuna mushroom spaghetti (300)
dinner: smoked haddock fried rice (200)
snack: crunchy corn, bane of my life (190), twister (40)
total: 1020
i can tell i'm gonna overeat today, i'm just so anxious. gonna try to focus and use the pomodoro technique to get some work done.
update: got work done! i have more to do but i'll do it... tomorrow morning i guess? didn't overeat but i feel like i did somehow

i feel you on this plateau stuff, like it isnt possible to not be losing on our intakes but it makes you think that you have to be eating too much and it feels crappy. but youre doing great, you’re being super consistent and getting in loads of exercise. it isn’t scientifically possible for it to not pay off!!!

i ate so much yday and now i look like a beach ball
going on a 30-ish km bike ride with the other lesbians today so that'll hopefully burn some off, BUT they want lunch
and then my pal's coming over to watch horror shit and eat tonight so i'll need to find the lowest cal thing on their menu too :'( i hate this so much, i hate social eating i wish i never had to do it
also i had ONE bottle of cider last night and i feel terrible today. i think... can't believe i'm about to say this... i might stop drinking alcohol. i don't know how possible it is to tell on this accountability but i barely drink at any time, but i think it's just not worth it for me anymore

the dilemma: everything i ate yesterday i deliberately didn't track so i didn't know the calories, but if i want to have leftovers today i need to track, and i won't be able to stop myself doing maths about yday. so i'm going to try to only have foods i didn't eat yday. i tried to look one food up and my brain already started doing sums. i can't do it without sending myself spiralling. wasting food isn't the worst thing in the world, right? oh god
bfast: cereal (220) with vegan protein milk (100) - sweeteners taste DISGUSTING, i couldn't finish this
lunch: fish and chips (600?)
dinner: burger and fries (1000?)
upset that i went over cals but also seeing now that i burned most of them off so i guess it's not so bad

eating fairly normally, a little less at home so I feel better when we're eating out. snacking a little but being really measured - I think my fullness cues are healed now

I'm sure I'll gain but I don't think I'll gain as much as I did on the last holiday but I'm nervous all the same
goals for the challenge:

* despite my post-holiday weight, get straight back to normal restriction once I'm home

i ate a lot today. a cheese pastry for breakfast, a vegan burrito for lunch and an ice cream cone for dinner. it was, not exaggerating, maybe the best ice cream I've ever had in my life and i don't even like ice cream like that. I had one scoop of lemon cheesecake and another of vanilla caramel honeycomb. incredible. I also had a handful of pita chips(/crisps?)
we cycled about 22 km today, which isn't as much as we were planning to. i had booked a restaurant for the evening but earthgirl didn't fancy it in the end and they charged us over £100 for cancelling... a real bummer.
on the bright side, I got a good handful of cool vintage items here (and new shoes and a bag) - fashion show once I get home!!

you are so active, i bet that a few days of relaxed eating won't have a lasting effect.
i bet your tattoo is lovely! i love word tattoos! i have the "just breathe" on my forearm, and a bible verse on my other wrist, and a quote on my foot.

i did a few different weight machines and then the elliptical for 10 mins just to blast it! i tried the stair stepper and, as i thought, i hate it. never again !!
spoke to one of the gym staff and she said that i can get a free intro to the machines and a tailored three week programme so i made an appointment with her for tomorrow morning to do that!!! so EXCITED
i need to cycle again this afternoon but otherwise that's me done for the day workout-wise. so stoked to get cracking

omg it's so good, so yesterday i used two medium carrots and a small to medium courgette - i cut the courgette into cm strips and the carrots i julienned with a mandoline but you can use a knife - you want like matchstick/noodle width strips the full length of the carrot.
in a wide pan i put about
- a tsp of garlic purΓ©e
- 1/2 tsp of frozen ginger purΓ©e
and heated until the ginger purΓ©e melted and the whole thing was fragrant. then i added
- 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce (vegetarian oyster sauce linked here)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce, and
- almost a tbsp fermented black bean paste
and heated everything together until a little sizzly, then added my veggies (the carrots are a must for me because of their sweetness) and let them fully cook, then added
- 130g cooked white basmati
at the end. i like a LOT of flavour in my food so you could absolutely add twice as much of your veggies and rice and it'd be enough for four nights' meals (what i just wrote here is two small portions - around 180-190 cals each) - that'd be less sodium because this dish is salty af and that's why i like it lololol
other veggies i love in this:
- sweetcorn
- peas
- mushrooms
- broccoli
- bok choi
and i'm sure you don't dress frumpy!!! also VERY late reply but you just reminded me - your tattoos sound so pretty!!!!! was the one on your foot painful? it looks like a painful place to get one. i can get away with wearing weird outfits to work because all of us are artists but i've barely worn anything fun in ages. i'm not sure how cool any of my clothes are now!
