anyone else get so distraught looking at thinspo because you just dont have the biological body structure for thighs that are stick thin and straight? even when i was nearing 100 pounds (im 5’6) my thighs were still notably curved/full. how the fuck do so many people get legs that are straight lines, ive never been able to no matter how much i restrict! i feel like i tap out at 17.5 inches around, it’s terrible and so discouraging as my thighs are what i hate most

a lot don't. photoshop is common. sometimes it's not even the person in a photo who did the editing, but people edit the already thin photos to be more pro-ana aesthetic, which then that version takes off.

even tiktok users are using apps to edit their body for videos.

not trying to tell you straight legsdon't exist, obviously. just you're probably being needlessly critical on yourself because you're misunderstanding thinspo isn't always real.

This but also, even without photoshop, posture and angles can make a huge difference. Thinspo is expertly posed to look as thin/flattering as possible, exaggerating bones and gaps, etc. by stretching, sucking in, manipulating posture… all kinds of tricks. Remember that you’re often comparing yourself at your “worst” (your least flattering state) to them at their “best” (most flattering state.) Even my own body can look completely different just depending on which mirror I’m looking in and the lighting in the room.
