do u find that doing the SOS decreases your appetite?
Short answer: yes, it decreased my appetite
lol
Long answer:
Absolutely! It's a diet they do at the TrueNorth health center when people get off 20+ day water fasts. It's used to prevent people from over eating after going without food for weeks on end. It makes sense, since sugar/fat/oil trigger all sorts of "feel good" hormones to be released and are what make people have strong cravings for food. Theres actually related to it and a ton of food companies make food addictive by engineering their food to appeal to certain taste receptors and trigger "feel good" hormones (hence why people get addicted to food.) Theres a lot of videos on youtube about the diet but this is the one I watched when I first learned about it.
I have a big issue with binging so this diet really interested me. So far, I've noticed a HUGE difference in my hunger and taste for food. I havn't had any blood spikes at all while doing it and I'm actually enjoying unsalted/unsweetened/oil-free foods. I even forgot to eat today because I just wasn't hungry!
Sorry this was so long, I kinda nerd out about things related to biology and nutrition...
