I lowered my intake over a couple weeks. I first dropped to 1100 and cut it down like maybe 50 calories every 3 days. Now I'm just staying at 450 cuz I really don't want to go any lower. I feel like lowering my limit slowly helped me feel less hungry, since I had more time to adjust and it wasn't as much of a "shock" for my body. And you'll still lose weight pretty fast doing it.
